Jackpot SNGs at Titan Poker

After not having played at Titan Poker for about a month, they sent me an email with some promotions to get me into depositing there again.

For a $50+ deposit, I’d get a special 70% reload bonus up to $300 and free entry into a $3,000 Saturday Special Freeroll. But since I suck in MTTs, I won’t take advantage of this.

Furthermore, they gave me a token for a Dirty Dozen Jackpot SNG. These are $2+0.40 12-man 6-max tourneys. The $24 prizepool is split into $12 for 1st, $6 for 2nd, $3.60 for 3rd and $2.40 for 4th. There’s a $2,000 jackpot for winning four in a row.

While I know that I have no chance at hitting the jackpot, I think this is a good opportunity to practise my SNG play. I’ll start playing tonight and will recycle any winnings until I either go broke (most likely), hit the jackpot or reach the minimum withdrawal limit ($20).

• 2-tabling $50NL/PL on private BR: 137.2 minutes – 246 hands – -$16.70 (-7.30 $/hr)
  Very dry session. Almost no playable cards, had to laydown some costly semi-bluffs to re-raises. My overall post-flop c-bet ratio is 75.9%, which is quite high I believe. I’ll try to give it up after the flop a little more often.

I’ll maybe play some freeroll MTTs to mix up my regular cash game a little. Since I dislike the huge public freerolls (mostly crazy all-in-fests with a small $1,000 prizepool), I’ll only attend some of the private VIP freerolls one gets access to as a frequent player.

I’ll play the MTTs in bold for sure, the one in gray I’ll most likely skip due to the small prizepool and the rest will be played only if I don’t have other things to do. The PokerInside Leaderboard has one of the smaller prizepools, but the relatively small amount of players (usually between 80 and 130) makes it a good opportunity.

Summary Week 32/2007

This week had some huge ups and downs, but was very profitable in terms of income. I’m a bit dissappointed that my tremendous run on the weekend was somewhat lessened by the subsequent down-swing, but hey, I guess that’s just variance. This week’s highlight surely was my first live cash game at the Pokerclub Salzburg, and I’m really satisfied with the result.

Regarding my MTT and SNG performance, I have to admit that this week gave even more proof that it’s just not my game. I believe I played ok overall, though my bust hand in the $500k Giveaway maybe could have been avoided. After all, I’ve decided to completely concentrate on my cash game from now on. I’ll play one of the VIP freerolls from time to time, but only if I’m in the mood.

My cash game BAP for FourClover01 is still at $314.04. I’m not going to touch the bankroll until I get hold of him to discuss the next steps.

I cashed out all of my profits and most of my personal bankroll. I hope I can catch FourClover01 soon to start a bigger BAP for him. I sent him a proposal which he seemed to like, but we haven’t finalized the deal yet. Until then, I’ll grind a little more with what’s left of my personal roll.

Affiliate Business

Seems like I will finally get a small bankroll boost from my affiliate links. I have $65 in pending commissions at YourPokerCash and $63.98 at HansaPoker. Both told me that they pay out their commissions by the 10th of each month, which is this friday.

Furthermore, I have $60 in pending commissions at PokerNetOnline since May, but Ian from the support team hasn’t replied to my PMs in weeks. There’s a lot of rumour from affiliates waiting for payback on their forum lately, and I’m afraid this site is a big scam. Well, time will tell if I’ll get my money from them.

Summary 07/08/2007

I knew that my lucky streak from yesterday couldn’t last long, but today was an extremely unlucky cash game session. I played my usual TAG game and was up about $70 when I lost two full $100 stacks with my AA vs. JJ with another J on the turn, and my full house vs. a higher full house. I patiently grinded some back, but lost another stack later and ended at -$253.33. I’ll play a SNG stake for Kloozy tonight.
